This is a very simplistic view, that does work in most instances but is not the whole story of how gender is determined. Such as there are XY females, XX males, XXX females, XXY males, XXY females. In fact almost any combination of sex chromosomes can result in either a male of a female, the only combinations known not to exist is a Y on it’s own and a YY pair. In order for life to be sustained there must be at least 1 X chromosome.

It’s more than a technicality, prior to about 8 weeks of development ( I think it’s 8 weeks) everybody is female, then provided there are the right genes as sometimes there are not the right chromosomes, and testosterone, males develop.

I am speechless…This video clearly proves the science in the noble Quran is Science at its best. The science in the noble Quran covers every scientific facts discovered so far. The noble Quran can easily replace any textbook of advanced physics, biology and chemistry and which still have much scientific knowledge left in it so that there will be no need for any future text books . I just studied this verse of the Qur’an, and from it, I can tell you first, that Nutfah is the mixed genital fluids of MALE & FEMALE. it was thought that ONLY MALES could ejaculate and emit genital fluid because you can see male ejaculation, but it was discovered somewhere around 1959 – 1960’s that even females could emit genital fluid to contribute toward the creation of the baby. What science has discovered about 50 years ago, the Qur’an has confirmed it 1430 years ago…
