deinterlace ? Explain ?
January 24th, 2010 at 4:22 pm
There are two main types of scanning, this was filmed in interlaced as opposed to progressive. In a progressive scan the image is shown line by line, from top to bottom. An interlaced scan does a similar scan, but only for every second line. This is carried out from the top left corner to the bottom right corner of a cathode ray tube (the old-skool non-LCD/TFT/LED monitors that use electron guns) display…Contd.

As it’s being displayed as progressive scan you can see lines, the frame has two images in it, EXAMPLE: assuming there are 100 lines, 50 will be from the current frame and 50 from the previous/next. The 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th etc. will be from the current frame and the 2nd/4th/6th/8th etc. will be from the previous. Deinterlacing is a self-explanatory word, I can only explain two methods of doing this, so look at the wiki explanation: en*wikipedia*org/wiki/Deinterl acing#Deinterlacing_methods* = .
